System & network upgrade, three interconnected buildings

Wireless Solution

The Dept. of Transport, Tourism and Sport on Leeson Lane consists of three interconnected buildings: Georgian Houses, the Office Block and the Nurses House.

OPW sought to upgrade existing wireless FirePoint system in the Georgian building installed to the newer FireCell technology platform. As part of these works they also wanted to upgrade two existing networked panels in the Office Block and Nurses House along with two fully functional repeater panels.

VRF assisted OPW with pre-tender system design solutions and surveys. VRF supplied, programmed & commissioned equipment to selected electrical contractor. Project delivered outside of normal working hours, at all times all three buildings had active and properly functioning fire detection and alarm systems.
