| Project Summary: | St. Michael’s College was established in 1944 and is located on a large campus in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. Buildings on the campus required significant upgrade of all fire detection and alarm systems. |
| Solution Highlights: | Upgrade of old and obsolete wired systems was identified as critical part of school upgrade project. Due to time constraints, the original plan for a wired system was deemed unfeasible. School campus now has full wireless fire detection coverage in main school building, external sports hall and all other external buildings. |

VRF worked with the nominated electrical contractor to carry out site wide wireless infrastructure surveys to support system design and certified delivery.
The FireCell & SmartCell wireless fire detection systems on this project, consisting of 500+ wireless devices, were supplied and commissioned by VRF, installed by the nominated electrical contractor. Much of the work was completed around teaching schedules to limit disruption during term time.
